An iconic dress

One of Jennifer’s first moments of stealing the limelight and having all eyes on her was when she rocked the famous Versace green dress with a plunging neckline and sheer skirt at the 2000 Grammys.

The red carpet moment went down in history and the photos went viral online. This dress popped up again at the Versace Spring 2020 fashion show when Donatella recreated the dress for JLo to strut her stuff down the runway in. Even 20 years later, she still looked flawless.

So many scents

JLo is a woman of many talents and one of her businesses has come from fragrances. Up to 2019, JLo has launched 30 fragrances, each which have seen huge numbers in revenue. Her most recent fragrance is called PROMISE and has a deep meaning for the star.

Relationship history

Jennifer Lopez is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood so it isn’t a surprise that she is in high demand on the dating scene. Lopez has been married three times, her first marriage was to Ojani Noa in 1997 but it only lasted 11 months.

Her second marriage was to backup dancer Cris Judd but their union only went on for a mere nine months. It was reported that both of her divorces were a result of her career going up and the marriages took a step back which broke them down.

Bennifer begins

In 2002, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck met on the set of the movie Gigli. Although the film wasn’t a success, their relationship was, and they turned from co-stars to lovers. Their romance was one of the most high profile in Hollywood and they earned the name Bennifer.

The same year they got together, Affleck popped the question with a 6.1 carat pink diamond ring. However, all was going well until a few days before the Santa Barbara wedding was due to happen and it was completely called off.

Bouncing back

The breakup with Ben was devastating for Jennifer and she took some much needed time off to heal and recover from the heartbreak. It was soon after this that singer Marc Anthony walked into her life and everything just seemed to click into place.

The two were old friends but their friendship became romantic and they knew they were supposed to be together. They were married in 2004 but after 10 years, they went their separate ways, realizing that this was not forever.

JLo and A-Rod

After getting together in 2017, Jennifer and former pro-baseball player Alex Rodriguez became engaged in 2019 after Alex popped the question while on a romantic getaway with a 20-carat emerald-cut diamond, worth an estimated $4.5 million.

In the early 2000s, Jennifer co-founded film and television production company Nuyorican Productions with her manager Benny Medina. Despite Jennifer leaving the partnership soon after it started, Benny has always been in her inner circle and to Jennifer’s children Benny is known as Uncle Benny.

Nuyorican Productions ended up going from strength to strength in the industry and it has produced drama TV show The Fosters and The World of Dance. In addition, they produced JLo’s newest film Hustlers.

Train hard

In 2019, Jennifer starred in the movie Hustlers as the lead stripper Ramona. Other notable names in the movie include Constance Wu, Cardi B and Lili Reinhart and it was actually a very challenging movie to star in due to the difficulty of advanced pole dancing. Jennifer admitted it was “one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do for a role.”

She installed poles in all of her homes and had a daily teacher so she could perfect the moves in a couple of months. The training paid off and she looked amazing in the movie, with many questioning if she used a stunt double for the tricky pole scenes.

In 1997, Jennifer got her breakthrough role playing Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in the biopic titled Selena. Going for it

When JLo realized her passion, she decided to go for it and let nothing get in the way of her doing so. Her parents were not exactly supportive of her decision so she took matters into her own hands.

At 18 years old, she moved to Manhattan, working in a law firm in the day and taking various dancing jobs at night. She would practice into the early hours of the morning, sometimes sleeping in dance studios. Her big break came in 1990 when she got the role of a Fly Girl dancer in the 1990 Fox comedy, Living In Color.

Triathlon champ

If you thought Jennifer was a woman of many talents, you don’t know the half of it. She has always had plenty of determination and this led her to compete in a triathlon in 2008. While JLo was used to having grueling dance training sessions, this was completely different to train for.

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon consisted of a half-mile swim, 18-mile bike ride, and a four-mile run and was not an easy feat. However, Jennifer stunned everyone and completed in just two hours and 23 minutes.

Staying in shape

There is no denying Jennifer is one of the fittest women in Hollywood and at 50, she is putting the 20 something year olds to shame. To stay in peak shape, she drinks plenty of water for her skin and overall health.

She doesn’t drink alcohol or coffee and eats only organic, nutrient-dense foods. Her diet is really clean and consists of protein, veggies and pulses. While it sounds restrictive to most, it works for JLo and it shows.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it

When people grow older, they often want to hide their age, but not JLo. She decided to be vocal about turning 50 and embrace everything that came along with that.

She explained “It was important as a woman to do that; to let people know that you don’t get to write women off at a certain point in their life.” Lopez added that people get better with age and that’s how she sees this new milestone in her life. When you look like JLo, there is nothing bad about getting older.

2001 was a really great year for Lopez and she proved to everyone that she really is a triple threat. Her second album titled J.Lo reached the number one spot on the US Billboard 200 and this happened the same week her rom-com The Wedding Planner took the number one spot at the box office.

The couple ended their relationship following a terrifying ordeal at a New York City nightclub where there was a shooting and the celebrity couple ended up being arrested, although all charges were later dropped.

Diddy gets thirsty

Despite Jennifer and Combs’ relationship ending almost two decades ago, earlier this year something happened that reignited all the articles and photos about their relationship when Jennifer posted a photo of her rock hard abs on Instagram, explaining she was doing a 10-day, no carbs, no sugar challenge.

Singer envy

Making it in music and Hollywood is not an easy feat, but when many people don’t make it and join the thousands who tried, they can often get nasty. This was the case for another female artist who accused Jennifer of stealing her songs and making them international number one hits.

However, collaborating with other artists and using them on your tracks is an extremely common thing and is seen as a celebration of talent, rather than stealing. Jennifer has collaborated with artists including Cardi B, Iggy Azalea, French Montana and Pitbull.

After Jennifer’s divorce from Marc Anthony, she began dating her former backup dancer Casper Smart. They began dating in October 2011 and the 18-year age difference didn’t seem to be much of an issue for the much older star. Casper starred in JLo’s music video for “Dance Again” and the two immediately hit it off.

The couple were together on and off for five years and a few years after they finally parted ways, Casper admitted he wasn’t ready for a woman with kids.
