They say diamonds are forever and these celebrity engagement rings prove just that. From princess cuts, to cushion cuts and more carats than you could ever imagine, it is hard for celebrities to hide their huge, sparkling engagement rings and they don’t come with a small price tag.
With these rings, the term less is more simply doesn’t apply and it seems that bigger is better. From Elizabeth Taylor’s 33-carat diamond to Kim Kardashian’s 20-carat ring, these women know how to wear a rock.
Jennifer Lopez – $1.8 million
Jennifer Lopez knows the drill when it comes to getting engaged, but even the diva herself must have been quite taken aback when former baseball pro Alex Rodriguez popped the question in March 2019 with this 16-carat emerald diamond.
When they posted the engagement to social media, fans went wild at the beautiful ring, stunned by its size and clarity. While these two haven’t yet made it down the aisle yet, their wedding is expected to take place next year.
Ariana Grande – $100,000
After a whirlwind romance comedian and SNL star Pete Davidson proposed to singer Ariana Grande after they had been dating for less than 2 months. The 24-year-olds had only been seen out a handful of times together before Davidson got down on one knee and presented Grande with a three-carat pear-shaped diamond.
Despite protesting that they are in no rush to get married, they couldn’t make it through the engagement and they split four months after becoming engaged.
Hailey Bieber – $400,000
Model Hailey Baldwin snapped up singing sensation and heartthrob Justin Bieber and the couple quickly became engaged in July. Immediately, Hailey was seen out rocking a huge oval diamond containing between 6 to 10 carats.
The ring was made by New York City-based jeweler, Solow & Co and the owner is a good friend of Justin Bieber’s manager. The young couple were recently married in South Carolina and Hailey added a diamond wedding band to her huge engagement ring.
Cardi B – $500,000
Considering rapper Offset is always dripping in diamonds, the engagement he chose for fellow rapper Cardi was never going to be small. In September 2017, Offset popped the question to Cardi with an eight-carat tear-shaped diamond that pretty much weighed down her whole hand.
However, in true rapper style, the diamonds didn’t stop there and soon after, Offset gifted Cardi with a matching diamond necklace and bracelet. Cardi later revealed that the couple were married even before Offset proposed.
Scarlett Johansson – $400,000
In May 2019, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost proposed to actress Scarlett Johansson with an 11-carat oval shaped yellow diamond. After becoming engaged, the bride-to-be showed off her huge ring at comic con where she was appearing with her Marvel’s Avengers co-stars.
The ring is quite an unusual shape and experts questioned whether she wanted to have something different to her previous 2 engagement rings. The couple had been together for two years before the SNL star popped the question.
Paris Hilton – $2 million
Paris Hilton is another celebrity who has been engaged previously, but the diamond from her last relationship was by far the biggest. The socialite and businesswoman became engaged to actor Chris Zylka in January 2018 in Aspen. He got down on one knee on a mountain and presented Hilton with a twenty carat tear-drop diamond by jeweler Michael Greene.
Paris admitted she had copies of her engagement ring so she could keep the real one safe. Their engagement didn’t last however and they split in November of the same year.
Princess Beatrice of York – $130,000
In September 2019, member of the British royal family Princess Beatrice became engaged to her real estate mogul love Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. He proposed with a diamond on a platinum pavé band by Shaun Leane, a beautiful ring truly fit for a princess.
In the latest royal engagement, the royal wedding is set for 2020 and will follow the weddings of her sister Princess Beatrice and her cousin Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle last year.
Princess Eugenie of York – $120,000
In January 2018, Princess Eugenie became engaged to her long term love Jack Brooksbank. Jack proposed to the Princess with a very unusual ring, a padparadscha sapphire surrounded by diamonds. The unique pink stone in surrounded by diamonds, allowing the ring to have the appearance of a sparkling flower.
The ring was very similar looking to the one her father, Prince Andrew, gave to her mother Sarah Ferguson. The couple were married in a royal wedding at Windsor Castle in October 2018.
Emily Ratajkowski – $90,000
Emily Ratajkowski shocked everyone when she married Sebastian Bear-McClard in New York City Hall in 2018 given that no one knew she was even engaged.
For a while after the wedding she was wearing a plain gold wedding band, before debuting her double diamond ring on Instagram a few months later. Emily’s stunning ring contained one pear and one square cut diamonds with a gold band. Why have only one diamond when you can have two?
Meghan Markle – $350,000
When Prince Harry crushed every young woman’s dreams and proposed to Meghan Markle, he presented her with a very special diamond. The ring itself contains three diamonds, two of which are from Princess Diana’s personal collection, making it pretty priceless.
The other diamond was sourced by Harry in Botswana, a place close to both of their hearts. After getting engaged in 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were married in at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in 2018.
Pippa Middleton – $230,000
The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, Pippa Middleton, made headlines at her sister’s royal wedding in 2011 when people were admiring her curves as the maid of honor. A few years later, Pippa got her own wedding as she became engaged to James Matthews, a wealthy businessman.
Pippa’s ring is a large asscher-cut 3.5 carat diamond surrounded by a cluster of smaller diamonds. After becoming engaged in 2016, the couple were married the following year in 2017.
Kim Kardashian West – $2 million
Kim Kardashian has never been one to own small engagement rings, so her ring from Kanye West was always going to top them all. Kanye upgraded Kim’s first engagement ring with a second 20-carat ring from celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
Kim had often said how Elizabeth Taylor was one of her idols, so the large ring was fitting in this sense. Sadly, Kim’s ring was stolen in her terrifying Paris robbery in 2016 and she stopped wearing diamonds from then on.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – $300,000
After dating for years, British actor Jason Statham finally proposed to long-term girlfriend, British supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in January 2016. The gorgeous five carat ring contains a classic large center stone flanked by micro-pavé-set diamonds.
Statham picked out the ring from jeweler Neil Lane’s archival collection and it dates back to the early 20th century, considered one of the most luxurious periods of jewelry in history. The couple are yet to set a wedding date but have one son together.
Miranda Kerr – $100,000
Miranda Kerr hit the jackpot after being married to Orlando Bloom when she started dating Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel. Spiegel began dating the Australian supermodel in 2015 and became engaged the following year, announcing their engagement using a new Snapchat feature.
Evan proposed with a 3-carat round brilliant cut diamond flanked by tapered baguettes on a platinum band. The couple were then married in 2017 and have two children together.
Lady Gaga – $500,000
In 2011, Taylor Kinney appeared in Lady Gaga’s music video and the two had immediate chemistry and they began dating quite quickly. Four years later, Kinney got down on one knee and put a ring on it, a huge ring to be exact.
Gaga’s ring was made by famous jeweler Lorraine Schwartz and was a 6-carat heart-shaped perfect diamond. However, their relationship wasn’t to last and the following year in 2016 the couple called it quits.

After meeting at the University of St. Andrews, Kate Middleton became engaged to her college sweetheart Prince William in 2010 after a very long relationship. Prince William proposed with one of his most sentimental possessions, Princess Diana’s engagement ring.
The 18-carat oval sapphire was surrounded by 14 diamonds, picked out by Diana in her engagement to Prince Charles. This ring was always going to belong to the future Queen of England and is essentially priceless in its worth.
Blake Lively – $1 million
After appearing as co-stars in a movie, actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds didn’t get together till years later and kept their relationship very much under wraps even to the point that their engagement was only discovered as Blake was seen rocking a huge diamond ring.
Reynolds popped the question with a stunning 12-carat oval-cut diamond with micro-pavé band. The couple were married in September 2012 in an intimate ceremony with family and friends in South Carolina. They have three children together.
Beyoncé – $5 million
Beyonce and Jay Z are hip hop royalty, so it was only fitting that Jay would propose with a ring fit for his Queen B. The private couple never announced their engagement and it is only known that they were married in April 2008.
When Jay Z put a ring on it, it was a spectacular 18-carat center diamond set on a split shank by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. Beyonce and Jay Z have made it through a rocky relationship and have three children together.
Mariah Carey – $10 million
The diva herself, Mariah Carey became engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer in January 2016. When Packer proposed, the billionaire pulled out all the stops and presented the singer with a 35-carat emerald-cut diamond set in platinum by designer Wilfredo Rosado.
However, Mariah and James called off their wedding just 10 months later and it was reported that Mariah sold the ring in order to move on with her life and new relationship with dancer Bryan Tanaka.
